| Prayer That Changes You |
|
“Prayer Doesn’t Change God It Changes You.” This tiny phrase astounded me since the first time I heard it over 15 years ago. It’s funny but through the years I have grown to know less and less about God. The more I thought I knew the less I knew. The less I knew the more I seemed to understand! I can only tell you what I have learned in my own life and experiences. By spending countless hours in prayer, I have found that prayer formats my mind, spirit and heart to be in complete alignment with Him. God’s intentions are already engrafted in our hearts and through prayer we are awakening and perfecting what has been in our spirit since our very existence. This is where we become more like him. You can completely be transformed mentally and spiritually through prayer. Prayer is the single most greatest gift from God to be used as a connection point to Him. Wow! That is so right. I recently readh The Shack, and you hit the nail right on the head. It's about relationship. The more we pray, the better we get to know Him. The better we get to know Him, the easier it is to see.

I want to say that yes, prayer does work.
I had been having some marital problems and it literally came from no where. Meaning that I had no idea that there was a problem. It started new years eve and although things are not completely where I would like for them to be, we are much better and we will be much better. I encourage anyone reading this to do the following, first make sure you have good christian support, make sure you read your word and recite Gods word over and over again. Read Rom 12:14 until the end. Find and read things aboout love in the bible and what it means. You will and maybe you will not, but I was suprised at what the Lord wants us to withstand for LOVE. It is not impossible, we can do all thing through Christ who strengthen us. I not only learned a lot about my husband, but I learned even more about myself. While your waiting on God to do his thing, we need to do ours, which is to build ourselves back up, and to re-prioritze things. I was guilty of looking at my husband more so than God. So I believe God wanted me to remember who he is and where he is to be,FIRST. I will admit that some things I read, put me on the defense and then the Holy Spirit pricked my heart, I was convicted. I read two books, Help I'm Married by Joyce Meyers and I took the 30 challenge. Dare to love. Hold ON and believe that when you tell your mountain to move; and you believe that what you say will come true with wavering; it will. That is in Mark. This is an awesome topic.
I can truly say that when you spend time in Gods presence changes does begin to happen on the inside of you immediately. Especially when you spend time reading and listenly to what the Holy spirit is saying to you in his presence. Great topic Write comment
