“Prayer Doesn’t Change God It Changes You.”

This tiny phrase astounded me since the first time I heard it over 15 years ago.  It’s funny but through the years I have grown to know less and less about God. The more I thought I knew the less I knew. The less I knew the more I seemed to understand! I can only tell you what I have learned in my own life and experiences.

By spending countless hours in prayer, I have found that prayer formats my mind, spirit and heart to be in complete alignment with Him. God’s intentions are already engrafted in our hearts and through prayer we are awakening and perfecting what has been in our spirit since our very existence. This is where we become more like him.  You can completely be transformed mentally and spiritually through prayer.  Prayer is the single most greatest gift from God to be used as a connection point to Him.
When we pray it should not be about “calling God to action”.  When we pray it should be about opening our eyes to see him already in action.  Prayer leads us to aligning the earth realm with the heavenly realm.  Spending time in prayer enhances what I call our supernatural sensory levels. These levels will increase when we spend time with the Father. You will be able to see and hear more clearly what God is doing in your life by devoting time in prayer. Many people have their different philosposies on how much you suppose to spend in your personal prayer time.  I choose to think of it as how close you want to be with Him.  What kind of results you want in your life? Are you comfortable with fluctuations or spouts of trouble, disappointments, fear or seasons of doubt? Can you afford to be going in the wrong direction or do you have a lot of time to waste? If you answered no to these questions, the best answer is to develop a “consistant” prayer time with God where you can conversate and hear what he is downloading in your spirit on a daily basis. The more you bask in his prescence the more you will become like him...
